about me
I'm Amanda, the creator of Rockstar Resumes. I struggled for years to change careers after being stuck in a field I wasn't passionate about. That was until I figured out that my experience wasn't the problem. It was how I was presenting it.
I began doing market research into hiring trends, resume key words, top skills, and trying to determine how to frame my work history. I was able to move from a job in sales and hotel management to a fulfilling career in disaster recovery and emergency management. There was a lot that happened along the way, and I want to share these findings with others who just want to love their work.
I have experience in multiple job fields, and have the expertise to create specialty resumes (federal, functional, nontraditional, etc.) In addition, I've spent years doing the leg work to learn the most effective interview techniques, buzz words, and skills to highlight to spark interest from hiring managers.
My experience ranges from college students looking for their first job or internships (Gig 'em, Aggies!) to executive level positions. No matter what industry you are in, we will do the research and get to know exactly what will appeal to employers! I also offer other professional writing services, such as academic essay review/editing, college admission essays, copy for websites, and blog posts. I love to write, so if there is something not listed, let me know and we can work to find a solution that works for you!
I live in Bryan, TX with my partner and a bunch of fur babies: 4 cats and 2 dogs. When I'm not optimizing resumes and LinkedIn profiles, I love to read and write fiction, listen to music, ride my bike, and binge watch TV series.
